The Collective Collaboration seeks to engage through:
- Thinking holistically about nature – where nature supports health and wellbeing for the people and the natural environment (to view nature as being universal, all-inclusive).
- Embracing our dependency on nature for:
- Personal wellbeing (for our happiness, comfort, health, safety, security)
- Healthy growth and development (improving cognitive ability, emotional intelligence, risk management, citizenship, social connectedness)
- Personal productivity (improvements in efficiency, output, adeptness, proficiency, competence)
- Ecosystem functionality (supporting biodiversity, landscape resilience, clean air/water)
- Becoming good mentors and support mentoring (to guide, teach, support, advise) to empower everyday Australians and facilitate the sharing of stories (sharing through case studies, tales, yarns, narratives, legends)
- Delivering experiences (to involve, feel, understand, practice, engage) and acknowledge the importance of our emotions (our feelings, sentiment, passion, excitement)
- Adopting evidence-based approaches (scientific, proven, demonstrated, substantiated) while valuing observation and experiential learning and (learning through reflection, thought, watch, investigation, using first-hand, tactile, exploratory experiences)
- Understanding this is a shared responsibility and will take many partnerships – socially and politically – to bring this plan to life (a community of practice, multitude of voices, transdisciplinary partnerships, multiple skill sets, a diversity of champions and drivers)
